The structural panels of the Modus modular building systems are made from non-combustible steel which eliminates the possibility of the structure catching fire and burning. Enhanced fire safety can be achieved by the simple application of gypsum board or cement sheeting. Unlike many absolutely rigid structures made of materials such as cinder block, the ductile nature of the Modus structure is able to absorb severe seismic activity undamaged. This makes it an ideal building system for those areas that are prone to frequent earthquake activity.
